Terms of Service

By accessing or using bio.rodeo (the “Service”), operated by Pulsatance, LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

bio.rodeo (the “Service”) is a catalog, evaluation, and analysis of biological foundation models, together with the websites, interfaces, programmatic access, and related tools we make available from time to time.

Much of the Service is free to read without an account. Other parts require one, and which parts those are may change. During the beta, accounts are available by waitlist approval or invitation code.

We add, change, and remove features on an ongoing basis. These Terms apply to the Service as it exists at the time you use it, and we are under no obligation to keep any particular feature available.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Accounts are created by invitation. You may request access by joining the waitlist, or by supplying a valid invitation code, which grants access immediately. We may approve, decline, or revoke access at our discretion, and we may limit the number of accounts during the beta.

Sign-in is by one-time email link. You are responsible for maintaining control of the email address associated with your account and for all activity under your account. Invitation codes are personal to you; do not publish or resell them.

The information you provide when requesting access — including your name, organization, industry, and role — must be accurate. Handling of that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense access without permission;
• Use automated means to scrape or bulk-download content beyond normal API usage;
• Misrepresent the Service’s assessments — for example, presenting an openness score or ranking as something other than our editorial judgment.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality — including the openness scoring methodology, our editorial assessments, rankings, and the bio.rodeo name and marks — are owned by Pulsatance, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Model metadata, papers, weights, datasets, and documentation reached through the Service belong to their respective authors and publishers and remain subject to their own licenses. Nothing here grants you rights to a third party’s model or research; check the upstream license before you rely on it.

Programmatic access to the Service is subject to rate limits and usage quotas we set, and may require an account. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access for excessive or abusive usage, to require authentication where we previously did not, and to change interfaces and response formats without notice.

Accounts are in early access. Features may change, be removed, or become unavailable without notice. We provide the Service “as is” during this period and appreciate your feedback.

You retain ownership of what you submit — collection names and descriptions, model submissions, content flags, and feedback. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display it as needed to operate and improve the Service.

We may act on what you submit — including publishing, editing, or declining a suggested model, or changing catalog content in response to a flag — without attributing it to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pulsatance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Openness scores, rankings, metrics, and written assessments are editorial judgments, not legal, licensing, financial, medical, or investment advice. Model metadata is gathered from public sources — repositories, papers, model cards, and provider documentation — and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. An openness score is our reading of how a model is released; it is not a legal determination of your rights, and it is not a substitute for reading the license. Verify anything you intend to rely on against the primary source.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your own account at any time from your account settings.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
