Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology (江西服装学院) is a private, non-profit undergraduate university on the southern edge of Nanchang, in Jiangxi Province, China. It was founded in 1991 as a vocational school, was renamed and re-chartered by the provincial government in 2003, and was authorized by the Ministry of Education to award bachelor's degrees in 2011. It was among the first group of Jiangxi institutions designated for transformation toward applied education in 2015, and is listed in the province's Fourteenth Five-Year Plan as a candidate for master's-degree-granting authority.
The institute organizes its teaching around the fashion and apparel industry, with schools covering fashion design, fashion engineering, art and design, fashion media, business, humanities, and mega data. Its stated mission is to train applied, industry-ready graduates in creative design, garment engineering technology, marketing, and management. Research output spans that remit, and the School of Mega Data and the Business School also publish computational work — including sequence-based deep learning for protein post-translational modification sites.
